Planning a Rockies Ski Transfer: Luggage, Gear, and Pickup Details

Plan a Calgary or YYC ski transfer by confirming the pickup, exact resort or hotel, party size, luggage, ski equipment, and current access advice.

Confirm the exact pickup and destination

Start with the street address or named accommodation where your trip begins and ends. If your flight lands at Calgary International Airport, include your flight number and arrival date in the request. For a Calgary city pickup, use that actual address instead of treating YYC as the default.

State whether your destination is a Banff or Canmore accommodation, the Lake Louise community, or the Lake Louise Ski Resort. For a multi-stop or return itinerary, describe the full plan so it can be reviewed separately from a standard one-way transfer.

Describe passengers and equipment

List the number of passengers and describe the number and approximate size of your suitcases, ski bags, snowboards, boots, and other bulky items. The listed mountain fares cover a BMW X5 for up to four passengers; luggage capacity depends on both your party and the gear. Ask the team to confirm the proposed arrangement before your trip.

If your group or equipment does not fit the confirmed vehicle, ask about alternatives before relying on a reservation. Do not assume that a general passenger maximum guarantees room for every bag.

  • • Passenger count and child-seat request, if applicable.
  • • Number and approximate size of suitcases.
  • • Ski, snowboard, boot, or other oversized equipment.
  • • Exact pickup and drop-off addresses.
  • • Flight number and arrival date for a YYC pickup.

Check current seasonal access information

Weather, road, and visitor access conditions can change. Check current official guidance and share a realistic itinerary; a point-to-point transfer fare does not promise sightseeing access or an additional stop.

Lake Louise and Moraine Lake are different destinations. Parks Canada says Moraine Lake Road is closed to personal vehicles year-round and publishes current shuttle and access guidance. Do not assume that a transfer to Lake Louise includes permitted access to Moraine Lake.

Request the right route

The fixed, tax-included one-way BMW X5 fares are $400 CAD to Canmore, $450 CAD to Banff, and $550 CAD to Lake Louise from Calgary or YYC, for up to four passengers. Share your party, exact addresses, and equipment so the team can review the request and confirm availability.

Lake Louise Ski Resort, Banff Sunshine Village, Mt. Norquay, and Nakiska are resort-specific destinations. Each requires a quote; town fares do not establish a resort price. For Sunshine Mountain Lodge, confirm gondola-base arrival and the resort's onward check-in instructions.
